There are lots of ideas for warm recipes with the produce in season at local stands and markets this month:
Fruits: Apples, grapes, fall raspberries.
Vegetables: Beets, cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, cilantro, collards, corn, dill, endive and escarole, kale, leeks, lettuce, mustard greens, onions, parsley, parsnips, peppers, potatoes, pumpkins, radishes, spinach, winter squash, tomatoes, turnips.

Produce Tip: Parsnips need cold weather to convert starches into sugar and become sweet, so they are harvested in late fall, after the frost sets in. They store well and are available through winter and spring.
